Great Option Of Omega-3 For Vegetarians

Sacha Inchi Oil comes as a great blessings to Vegetarians as it contains 17 times more Omega-3 as compared to salmon and almost double the amount of Omega 3 Oil found in sardines.

What is Sacha Inchi?

Sacha Inchi which grows in the Amazon region of Peru is also known as mountain peanut or wild peanut. Sacha Inchi, its scientific name Plukenetia Volubilis has been a food source for the indigenous people for over 3000 years.

What used to be a wild plant, Sacha Inchi is now cultivated commercially in Southeast Asia. In fact, Sacha Inchi have been widely called the newest “superfood” in certain natural healing circles.

Why is Sacha Inchi a Superfood?

Your immune system is a vast network of organs, white blood cells, proteins and other chemicals that protect you from threats. Germs and diseased cells, like cancer cells, cause a healthy immune system to spring into action to fight. Several conditions can prevent your immune system from working to protect you. When this happens, your body will need an immunomodulator to help your immune system work more effectively. For example, immunomodulators treat cancer by helping your immune system destroy cancer cells.

The entry of heavy metal ions (Pb, Cu, Ni, Cr, Mn, Hg, etc.) in the food chain via plant uptake and subsequent amplification is a major concern due to their toxicity to many life forms. The toxicological effects of Pb2+ in humans include inhibition of hemoglobin formation (anemia), sterility, hypertension, learning disabilities, abortion, kidney damage and mental retardation. Study shows Sacha Inchi Shell Biomass (SISB) is fast and well fitted for both Pb2+ and Cu (Langmuir > Freundlich)

Some animal studies show promising results. Sacha Inchi may protect against tumor induction after exposure to carcinogens. The anti-tumor properties of Sacha Inchi may be related to the high content of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which decreases tumor growth and cachexia parameters.

Laboratory extraction procedures using SI fresh leaves, followed by antioxidant and antiproliferative assays testing towards the normal versus tumor cells. The results showed that some of the leave extracts presented antioxidant and antiproliferative activities against HeLa cells.

One 0.4-ounce (10-gram) serving of Sacha Inchi seeds provides 70 calories along with a good amount of protein and fiber. This makes them a great excellent addition to a well-rounded weight loss diet.

Protein, in particular, can decrease food cravings and support appetite control to increase weight loss.
Similarly, fiber can increase feelings of fullness to help reduce your overall food intake, which could contribute to weight loss and fat loss.

Lastly, Sacha Inchi is rich in heart healthy fats, which can slow the emptying of your stomach and promote feelings of fullness.

Essential fatty acids are crucial for good skin health. They play a role in maintaining the softness and elasticity of the skin as well as retaining moisture.

The benefits of Sacha Inchi oil for skin are extended by the tocopherols contained in the oil.
Tocopherols are part of the vitamin E family. Vitamin E can help the skin maintain its elasticity due to its role in collagen production. Sacha Inchi oil play a role in maintaining the softness and elasticity of the skin as well as retaining moisture and vibrant skin.

The majority of the brain is comprised of fats. This is yet another reason why essential fatty acids are crucial for optimal health. Sacha Inchi oil contains high levels of essential fatty acids. These help to decrease inflammation in the brain and have the potential to protect against diseases such as Dementia and Alzheimers.

Research also suggests that Sacha Inchi may help to lower blood pressure.
Maintaining healthy blood pressure is important for reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke. Those with high blood pressure may be four times more likely to die from a stroke and three times more likely to die from heart disease. Those with high blood pressure may find relief with Sacha Inchi seeds or products.

There is a lot of research that supports the ability of Sacha Inchi to lower “bad” cholesterol and raise “good” cholesterol levels. Sacha Inchi oil is also a good source of phytosterols. Phytosterols have a similar structure to cholesterol so they reduce cholesterol absorption and can, therefore, help support a healthy cardiovascular.

Inflammation in the body is associated with diseases like stroke, chronic respiratory diseases, cancer, obesity, diabetes, and heart disorders. Chronic inflammatory diseases are a significant cause of death.
The high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids in Sacha Inchi oil may improve inflammation and lipid levels and prevent cardiovascular disease.

Sacha Inchi oil could play a role in defending against diabetes. This is again due to the high levels of Omega-3 contained within the oil. Omega-3 helps regulate blood sugar levels by improving insulin sensitivity.

Inflammation is the main cause of cognitive disorders, particularly when it comes in the form of oxidative stress. The inflammatory damage may increase the risk of neurodegenerative diseases. Increasing your level of Omega-3 fatty acids may help defend these conditions.

One of the overlooked nutrients in Sacha Inchi is tryptophan, an important amino acid that can speed the release of serotonin, which is a “feel good” hormone. In conjunction with the magnesium in Sacha Inchi, this can induce relaxation for people who struggle with sleep disorders and insomnia.

With high levels of Vitamin A and beta-carotene, Sacha Inchi seeds can help boost vision health by preventing macular degeneration and slowing the onset of cataracts as we age.

What is Sea Buckthorn?

Sea Buckthorn is a thorny, deciduous, dioecious shrub of the family Elaeagnaceae. It is consumed throughout the world for both nutritional and medicinal purposes.

Sea Buckthorn contains nearly 200 known nutrients and bioactive compounds, giving it beneficial nutritional properties.

The medicinal value of Sea Buckthorn was recognized by the Chinese medical system 3000 years ago, dating back to the Tang Dynasty According to records, in traditional Chinese medicine, Sea Buckthorn is used to treat diseases including circulatory system diseases, skin lesions, metabolic disorders and digestive system diseases . Sea Buckthorn is also used in the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and burns.

The berries contain the following nutrients

Vitamin C is essential for the production of white blood cells, like lymphocytes and phagocytes, which are crucial for fighting off infections.

Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, fighting free radicals in the body. Free radicals damage skin cells and contribute to wrinkles, fine lines, and other signs of aging. By neutralizing these harmful molecules, vitamin E can help protect your skin from premature aging.

Vitamin A contributes to maintaining a healthy skin barrier, which is the outermost layer of your skin that protects against external aggressors like pollutants and bacteria. It also helps maintain a healthy cornea, which is the clear outer dome of the eye. A healthy cornea is essential for clear vision.

Flavonoids can stimulate the production of your body’s natural antioxidant enzymes, such as superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase. These enzymes further help neutralize free radicals and protect your cells.

Cholesterol is absorbed through the small intestine with the help of micelles, tiny clusters of fat-digesting molecules. When plant sterols are present, they compete with cholesterol for space within these micelles. As a result of this competition, less cholesterol gets incorporated into the micelles and is subsequently excreted in the stool, leading to a decrease in overall cholesterol absorption.

Research suggests that adequate intake of carotenoids, particularly lutein and zeaxanthin, might be associated with a reduced risk of developing AMD and cataracts. These are the leading causes of vision loss in older adults. While further research is ongoing, evidence suggests a potential benefit from including carotenoid-rich foods in your diet.

Studies suggest potential benefits of Omega-7, including increased fat burning and decreased fat storage. Some proposed mechanisms for Omega-7’s potential effect on fat metabolism include:

Increased lipolysis: This refers to the process of breaking down fat stores for energy use.
Decreased lipogenesis: This refers to the body’s process of converting carbohydrates and other nutrients into fat for storage.
Modulation of gene expression: Omega-7 may potentially influence gene expression related to fat metabolism and storage.

What is Tocotrienol?

Tocotrienols are lesser-known members of the vitamin E family, acting as potent antioxidants within the body. It has a unique structure offering distinct potential benefits, including lowering bad cholesterol, neuroprotective benefits, and exhibiting anti-cancer properties.

Tocotrienol homologs of Vitamin E (α-, β-, γ-, and δ-) have three double bonds on the side chain.

The antioxidant role of vitamin E is due to the presence of a hydroxyl group in its phenolic group on the chromanol ring that can donate a hydrogen atom and, in this way, neutralize a variety of free radicals.

There are two forms of vitamin E in nature: tocopherols and tocotrienols. Tocotrienol is unique in the sense that, as a member of the Vitamin E family, it has approx. 40-60X higher antioxidant potency compared to tocopherol, the other regular member of the Vitamin E family.

Tocotrienols consists of all four isoforms – alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-. Tocotrienols administered orally as an oil extract, have poor absorption.

In order to address this shortcoming, our Tocotrienols is a patented and bio-enhanced self-emulsifying Tocotrienol delivery system that provides a consistent and improved oral absorption of up to 300% of each of the individual Tocotrienol isoforms.

Benefits of Tocotrienols:

Tocotrienol homologs of Vitamin E (α-, β-, γ-, and δ-) have three double bonds on the side chain.

The antioxidant role of vitamin E is due to the presence of a hydroxyl group in its phenolic group on the chromanol ring that can donate a hydrogen atom and, in this way, neutralize a variety of free radicals.

A short 8-weeks supplementation of patented and bioenhanced tocotrienols is able to significantly reduced serum creatinine level, hence potentially averting the progression of renal impairment among diabetic nephropathy patients.

A pilot phase II clinical trial with 8 weeks supplementation of patented and bioenhanced tocotrienols has resulted in a significant reduction in retinal haemorrhage in the right eye of diabetic retinopathy patients.

Protects brain cells (neurons) from stroke, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases as well as improving memory.

Helps preserve heart health such as improving blood lipid profile and sustain arterial elasticity. A peer-reviewed published study with hypercholesterolemic subjects receiving patented and bioenhanced tocotrienols shows a significant reduction in total cholesterol and LDL-Cholesterol after 4 months of supplementation and the reduction persisted until the end of 6-month study.

Results from the AddNeuroMed Study (cross European study funded by European Union) show a significant association between plasma vitamin E (tocotrienols and tocopherols) and cognitive functions in the elderly.

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled human clinical trial conducted at the University Science of Malaysia shows that supplementation with patented and bioenhanced tocotrienols to be significantly effective attenuating NAFLD.
